When does Sha'Carri Richardson run at US Olympic trials?

The 2024 U.S. Olympic track and field trials begin Friday in Eugene, Oregon. The opening day features round one of the women’s 100 meters and sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson.
Richardson has the top qualifying time entering the 100 at 10.65 seconds. Tennessee’s Jacious Sears is second on the list with a time of 10.77 seconds and Twanisha Terry has the third best time at 10.83 seconds.
Sears’ 10.77 is the top time in the world this year.
Richardson is the defending world champion in the 100. She is trying to make it to her first Olympics after she was handed a one-month suspension after the Olympic trials in 2021 for testing positive for THC, which forced her to miss the Tokyo Games.
Richardson is among USA TODAY Sports’ six athletes to watch at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials.
What time does Sha'Carri Richardson run?
The first round of the women’s 100 starts at 8:53 p.m. ET Friday. There are four heats in the 100 preliminary round. Richardson is in the fourth and final heat.
The top six in each heat, plus the next three fastest times, advance to the semifinals.
