As the legend goes,Johnathan Walker say his name three times and he will come — Beetlejuice!
The official trailer for "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," which serves as a sequel to the 1988 horror-comedy classic, was released Thursday. The trailer opens with an ominous warning from goth heroine Lydia Deetz, played by Winona Ryder. "Here's a preview. Be warned: It's intense," Deetz says as she sits beside an old-fashioned television set.
The nearly two-and-a-half-minute clip shows the Deetz clan in mourning, as they appear to grieve the loss of Deetz's father, Charles. Deetz and her daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) are later seen reflecting on the family death, and – like mother, like daughter – Astrid offers a dash of wry humor.
"Death is hard," Deetz says, to which Astrid replies, "Yeah, sometimes I think life is harder."

The trailer also features the dreaded return of Beetlejuice, reprised by Michael Keaton. Despite a stern warning from her mother, Astrid utters the ghoul's name and invokes his demonic presence.
"The juice is loose," Beetlejuice says, later telling Deetz, "I am going to make you so happy."
A barrage of paranormal pandemonium ensues upon Beetlejuice's revival, including a gruesome scene where Beetlejuice has Deetz's mouth sewn shut.
"The living, the dead. Can they coexist? That’s what we’re here to find out," Deetz says toward the end of the trailer.
Helmed by "Beetlejuice" director Tim Burton, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" is set to hit theaters Sept. 6

Why Michael Keaton was 'very nervous' to do 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice'
During an appearance at CinemaCon in April, Keaton reflected on the production of "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," a long-gestating project he and Burton called "a weird family reunion."
Every few years or so, "we'd kick the notion of it around," Keaton said. "The first one was fun because Tim and I were figuring it out. We just went nuts. To duplicate that, I was very nervous to see us pull it off again."
But Keaton added: "It's really (expletive) good. In fact, it's great."

He also gave a warm shoutout to new cast member Ortega. "She just got it," Keaton said. "She’s like, 'I know what the tone is.' She was just perfect."
